23.3.1941 born in Quirl (Giant Mountains)

1957-1958 Academy of Fine Arts, Dusseldorf

1958-1960 Apprenticeship

1960-1965 College of Fine Arts in Nuremberg with Prof. Fritz Griebel

1964 First Exhibition in Vienna

1965 Formation of a migrant theatre with fellow students, the later “Hoffmann’s Comic-Theatre”

1967 Residency in the USA (until 1969), meets Robert Crumb in San Francisco

1968 University lecturer at the University of California, San Francisco

1969 some months in a mental institution

1970 destroys his entire artwork

1980-1982 lives and works in Wuerzburg

1982-1984 Accommodation and studio in the “Kunstverein” in Bruehl, in charge of etching and painting classes

1984-1992 lives and works in Cologne

1992-1994 lives and works in Berlin

1992-1995 Professorship HBK Braunschweig
